Ukrainian mobile operators have connected the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone to high-speed 4G Internet.
Ukrainian operators Kyivstar, Vodafone and Lifecell covered the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone with high-speed Internet, reported in their press releases.
So, Kyivstar connected the Chernobyl city to high-speed Internet, and several complexes on the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In the near future, 4G communications will be connected to the main checkpoint at the entry to the Chernobyl zone in the Dityatki district ,the company reported in press release.
Vodafone provided 4G coverage for Chernobyl employees and visitors in November 2018. During the six months using of 4G network, the Internet traffic has grown in 40%. 4G was used most intensively in the second half of April - before the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
